People with GAD worry excessively about family, health, work, or money.
Gad sufferers have a difficult time relaxing and falling asleep.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder AKA "OCD"- People suffering from OCD use ritualistic and repeated behaviors to rid themselves of obsessive thoughts and anxieties.
People with OCD have thoughts that they may feel they cannot control.
People With OCD may be obsessed with germs, or dirt, so they may wash their hands over and over.
They also sometimes have thoughts of violence, and fear that they will hurt people close to them
Some people obsess over a door being locked, or the stove being turned off.
When these people don't do the rituals that they are drawn to, then their anxieties get worse until the rituals are performed.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric illness that can occur after a traumatic event.
This can be triggered by a number of things such as:
Car Accident
Rape
Child Abuse
Natural Disasters
War
Death Of A Loved One
People with this disorder have nightmares and develop sleeping problems, lose interest in things they use to enjoy, become irritable, fatigued and/or violent.
Women are more likely to suffer from post traumatic stress and it can occur at any age.

Specific Phobias- This means a persistent fear of objects or situations.
When these objects or situations present themselves, they produce immediate and severe anxiety symptoms.
Phobias can be divided into three specific types:
1.specific phobias AKA "simple phobias"
2.Social phobias
3.Agoraphobia
These following situations and objects are known to trigger severe anxiety symptoms;
Airplane travel, dentists, elevators, high places, snakes, dogs and open spaces.

Panic Disorder- Unpredictable attacks of anxiety that are accompanied by physiological symptoms. People who suffer from panic disorder think that they are suffering a heart attack because the symptoms for both a heart attack and panic disorder are very similar.Panic attacks may last from just minutes to hours and people with this disorder always live in fear and are reluctant to be alone or far from medical attention.

People who suffer from social anxiety disorder know that it doesn't make sense, but with any type of anxiety you have to realize that there is nothing to be afraid of(no one has ever died from an anxiety attack)and seek professional help to learn how to alleviate anxiety and its symptoms from your life.
Find a specialist who knows about these problems and knows how to treat them.
Find a support group that is encouraging, positive, and supportive.
Make a commitment to carry out your therapy.
Repetition in these situations is the key to your recovery.
